5 looks to keep for 2013

1. The bomber jacket

A winter staple that turns easily into a spring classic: the men’s bomber jacket is here to stay. Layer itover a suit jacket for a perfectly now take, and don’t feel the need to keep to dark colours. While you don’t have to be as daring as Burberry’s metallics, a light coloured bomber works wonders across seasons.

2. Velvet

A bit of velvet for men goes a long way to creating a confident, sexy look. Some of the fall / winter takes leaned to the grungy, bohemian side, others to the clean and dandy: but whatever your take you can rest assured that a velvet blazer or suit will carry you through into 2013.

3. Camo

Throwing an unexpected hint of camo print into an outfit makes for a unique and interesting menswear look. Unsurprisingly, camo lends itself best to lighter fabrics thus making it a perfect candidate as a trend that crosses over into spring / summer 2013.

4. Blue is the new black

The autumn men’s runways made a clear statement: dark blue is the on-trend replacement for black. Keeping your blues into 2013 is a certainty, whether it’s a blue dinner suit or something more suited to the daytime.

5. Prints

Not everyone is bold enough to go all out on prints. On the runways, prints for men were many and varied, from head-to-toe patterned suits to minor print flourishes. But as menswear gets bolder, so can you. 2013 is another year of print, so don’t be afraid to inject a little into your wardrobe if you haven’t already.
